Identification & Reunification

Build a Complete Pet Safety Plan

A visible ID tag, a registered microchip, and an up-to-date digital record work together to give a lost pet the best path home. PROVENIQ Foundation connects families with free resources that strengthen every layer of that safety plan.

Three Layers of Protection

1. A readable collar tag

Use a durable tag with at least one current phone number. Check it regularly for wear and make sure the engraving remains easy to read. A visible tag lets a neighbor contact you immediately without needing special equipment.

2. A registered microchip

A microchip provides permanent identification when a collar is lost. The chip only helps when its registration record contains current contact information, so verify the registry after every move or phone-number change. Shelters and veterinary clinics can scan found pets and use that record to begin reunification.

3. A portable digital record

Keep recent photos, identifying marks, vaccination details, medications, and emergency contacts together. LifeLog provides families with a free place to maintain this information so it is ready when a pet is missing or needs urgent care.

Safety Should Not Depend on Ability to Pay

PROVENIQ Foundation's Homeward Bound program supports free microchipping, registry enrollment, and reunification outreach. Donations help put identification and recovery tools into the hands of families and community partners that need them most.
